Our Friends, Electric?

There's so much more to electric bikes than worrying about when the battery it going to run out, so we thought we'd share some of our most distinct models with you! Starting at 10 Mph and running to well beyond 100 Mph, electric bikes come in all shapes and sizes.

Saietta:
The British-built, 100 Mph+ Electric motorcycle with a range of over 100 miles on a single charge. Feel like a brisk ride down to Brighton for a seaside lunch? Go for it! Saiettta's as quiet as a bicycle too, so when you come home late at night you won't wake your neighbours.

EMX Cross:
Is it a bicycle? Not quite! Rated for 50 miles at over 30 Mph so you can spend your entire weekend enjoying your local hills/mountains, rather than just pushing it up to the top. With plenty of power on tap, the pedals have been removed and replaced with pegs to save weight too.

Feddz:
New and exclusive to Leftfield Bikes in the UK, the Premium variant is capable of running for 110 Km and has a top speed of 45 Kph. The centre of the frame doubles-up as storage for days in the countryside, or rolling about town, plenty of room for a packed lunch too! The battery's removeable so you can swap it out in seconds.

eSolex:
Updated for the modern era, the eSolex is a Pininfarina designed electric scooter which will be released in Summer 2014. Much like the 1960's model it was fashioned after, this bike oozes style. With a top speed of 35 Kph, riders can travel upto 40 Km without pedalling.

VANMOOF Electrified:
Nominated for the coveted e-bike of the year award for 2014, Electrified is an upgraded version of the current fleet. With almost identical styling to the 3-series including dynamo-driven front and rear lights, this is one to watch out for.

GoCycle G2R:
Magnesium-bodied with a top speed on 'Swiss Mode' of approximately 40 Kph (or restrict to 25 Kph for road use), this commuter eBike comes in at a lightweight 15.6 kg.

YikeBike:
With two new models to choose from this is a fun way to see our city. Add an external battery pack to go further, or fold it up and take it on public transport at rush hour if you like.

Solowheel:
Running at a compelling 10 Mph for upto 20 miles, gliding along is tremendous fun! Cruise the pavements, bunny-hop up kerbs and delight passer's by with it's seemingly impossible riding style.
